B & M Mica shields are made of highest quality muscovite natural mica, cut and punched to accurate and specified dimensions and thickness having very high degree of clear vision transparency, rigidly tested and inspected to eliminate imperfections. Also available in semicircular, rectangular or notch ends in all and desired lengths, widths, and build-up thickness - at price to meet all important test of cost effectiveness, special sizes or thickness quoted on request.

B & M Mica Shields protect the inner surfaces of the gauge glass against erosion by steam and other elements, and from the corrosive chemical effects of alkaline solutions, water, caustics, hydrofluoric acids, hot concentrated phosphoric acids, sodium and potassium and from other media.

B & M Mica shields eliminates completely the risk of breakage, cracks, jerks, thermal shocks, and combustion effects or fuses when used at higher steam pressure and working temperatures.

B & M Mica Shields increases the service life of the gauge glass by retaining its basic strength when used at higher pressure and is a must where pressures exceed 350 PSI (2400 kpa) at 430 degrees F.

B & M Mica Shields guarantee for a direct reading and clear observation of liquid levels and its characteristics - provides a perfect visual indication to watch the nature and degree of perfect visual indication, to watch the nature and degree of combustion in blast furnaces of high pressure steam boilers.

1. We carry Borosilicate, Transparent and Reflex Gauge Glasses. (made of long / circular type extra hard borosilicate glasses).
2. We carry toughened Alumino Silicate Tranparent & Reflex gauge Glasses.
3. We also carry Heavy wall Glass Tubes suitable for Boiler level Gauges cut to length with Flamed Polished ends in a choice of Plain or Redline.
4. We offer Tubes upto 300 mm in Diameter
5. The Glasses meet DIN 7081. JIS B 8211 & MIL-G Standards.
6. Reinforced Graphite Gaskets
• Flexible graphite inserted with stainless steel wire mesh(screen)
• Flexible graphite inserted with Mylar film.
• Flexible graphite inserted with aluminum foil. Thickness : 1/32" & 1/16"
7. Cushion Gaskets (non asbestos) for all sizes available. Thickness: 1/32" & 1/16".
8. KIT : Gauge Glasses (KLINGER BRAND) are packed in individual cardboard boxes. In addition to the glass, each package contain Mica Shield, Sealing Gasket & Cushion Gasket and forms a complete UNIT ready for installation.

Mica Circles, Discs are also available in mechanical cut (die cut) and Lathe Turned Scratch-less and glass like transparency from 5mm dia To 300 mm dia x 0.25 mm to 0.4 mm thick. The thickness can be increased by assembling 2 or more pieces in a unit (set).
